Help Keep Our Campus Safe

We need your help over the summer to keep PHE safe.  If you see or hear something or someone suspicious on campus, please call Mt. Diablo Unified Security at 682-8000 ext. 3836 and/or Pleasant Hill Police Department at 288-4600.

During the day there will be construction happening at PHE and our custodians are on campus and we do have cameras on campus.  

Have a great summer and thank you for all you do for Pleasant Hill Elementary.


So Long and Farewell

As the 2016-2017 school year comes to an end, we will be saying good bye to a few of our staff members.  First our Vice Principal, Poppy Sheldon has taken a position near her home in El Cerrito for the 2017-2018 school year.  Our evening custodian, Ever Rojas is taking a position at Holbrook Elementary, his last day is June 9th.  Our Librarian, Jerre Delaney has decided to pursue her career as a classroom teacher, beginning next year.  Kathy Felton will be teaching 2nd grade at Sequoia Elementary.

We wish every one well as they pursue new endeavors.  We appreciate all you have done at PHE and will miss you.

2017-2018 All In One Day


August 17, 2017 from 1-6pm, in the Multi-Use Room, will be our All in One Day.

Packets will be available after August 14th.  Return your information and you will receive your child's classroom assignment.  You will also receive information about our PTA and PHEEF organizations.  You will be able to buy school lunches, PHE spirit wear, and sign up for volunteering at PHE.  Diane Adair Daycare will also be available for child care sign ups.

If you are unable to attend on the 17th, please come in to the office on August 18th or August 21st to bring in your paper work and you will receive your child's assignment.

School begins on August 22nd.

2017-2018 Enrollment for Transitional Kindergarten through 5th Grade

Welcome to PHE.  If you have just moved into our attendance area, or coming from another school, not in MDUSD, you will need to start the enrollment process on line.

Students enrolling for Kindergarten must be 5 years of age by September 1, 2017.  Students who turn 5 between Sept. 2 and Dec. 2, 2017 are eligible for Transitional Kindergarten.

You may begin the enrollment process online at https://air.mdusd.org/air/.  Once you complete the online process, print out a copy and bring to the office with immunizations, birth certificate and proof of address to complete enrollment. If you register online, there are a few forms that are not available online that need to filled out before enrollment is complete.  These forms are available in the office.  Your student's enrollment is not complete until you turn your paperwork into the office.  You may come into the office from 8:00a.m. - 3:00p.m. Monday - Friday, to enroll your incoming student.  Limited space is available and your child may be overflowed to another neighborhood school.

Bring your papers to PHE office along with the following paper work, no copies accepted.  The office must see the originals of the following:

  • Student's birth certificate
  • Student's immunization record.  Must have completed immunizations to start school.
  • Your current photo ID
  • Proof of address

Proof of address consists of 2 of the following original forms:

  • Current vehicle registration with current address
  • State or Federal Tax return with W-2 forms attatched
  • Current voter registration
  • Property Tax bill
  • Rental/Lease agreement with students'name listed
  • Payroll stub with current address
  • Other government forms with current address

No utility bills,  P.O. box or loan papers accepted.  Must have original papers.


Intra district and Inter district transfers to PHE for 2017-2018 are closed.

Moving from PHE for the 2017-2018 School Year?

If you know your students will not be attending PHE in the fall, please contact the office at 934-3341.  If you move over the summer, please let the office know as soon as possible.  The PHE office will be closed June 26th through July 31st.  We reopen on August 1st.

Volunteer Information

To volunteer at PHE and to be able to go with your student on a field trip, you must be fingerprinted and have a clear TB test on file with the Mt. Diablo Unified School District.
